Supporting MUMS in events to thrive personally,
professionally and everything in between
The Elevate Motherhood Edition is a support group for mothers, mums to be and anyone in the events industry just thinking about parenthood in the future and what that might look like. Created by mums who know first-hand how isolating pregnancy, maternity leave and returning to work can feel.
We’d like to introduce you to our Elevate Motherhood Edition Leads
This Elevate initiative was launched in 2025 by Elevate mentors, mums and event professionals Faye Alexander and Holly Quinn-Kumar. Through their own experiences, both have seen just how challenging it can be to stay connected to the industry during pregnancy, maternity leave and the return to work.
Built on Elevate’s ethos of connection, shared experience, confidence and support, it gives mums a safe, supportive space to stay connected to the industry, share honestly and feel part of a community that understands the reality of balancing motherhood with a demanding events career.
Through dedicated WhatsApp groups, in-person meet-ups around key Elevate events and regular virtual meet-ups, The Elevate Motherhood Edition creates space for mums to ask for advice, share the hard moments, celebrate the wins and support one another through every stage of the journey.
“After having my first child, I realised how little support there was for mothers in the events industry, especially if you’re freelance. When I became pregnant with my second, I knew I didn’t want to feel that disconnected again. I wanted to stay close to the industry and help create the kind of support I wish had existed the first time around.”

“When I returned to work after having my child, I felt completely overwhelmed. I had left as a confident event manager, but came back questioning whether I would ever feel like that person again. There wasn’t really a space where mums in events could speak honestly about the challenges and the juggle, so we decided to create one: somewhere people could ask for advice, vent, share the wins and feel less alone.”
