The events industry is constantly changing and working in events can mean dealing with pressure, uncertainty and the unexpected.
In this talk, People and Culture Partners Zoe Tuffs from Times Ten Coaching and People and Culture Strategy Consultant Nic Neal explored resilience, adaptability and the idea of becoming anti-fragile: not just getting through difficult experiences, but learning and growing from them.
Helping unpack the session’s theme were our expert panel, Ally Owen, Founder of Brixton Finishing School and Event Producer Peter Clamp.
Together, they shared real stories, practical tools and useful ideas around managing pressure, developing self-awareness, dealing with rejection, knowing when to ask for support and recognising when resilience means changing direction rather than simply pushing through.
The key message was simple: resilience isn’t just about coping when things go wrong. It’s about learning, adapting and becoming better equipped for whatever comes next.
