If you’ve not heard of Elevate, we’re the world’s largest peer-led mentoring and personal development programme for the events industry and one of its fastest-growing communities.
Across the last decade, Elevate has supported more than 2,500 event professionals at every stage of their careers
In 2025, we piloted a bridging programme for final-year students and it gave us a clear insight into just how difficult it can be to break into the events industry.
Through that programme, we were able to:
pair student mentees with brilliant mentors
connect them to our 2,500-strong alumni network
welcome them into active WhatsApp groups
bring them into live events and the wider Elevate community
help many of them move closer to work and, in some cases, into new roles
One student secured a role at a brand experience agency, which was a particularly proud moment. The focus is simple: supporting people into the events industry.
Rufus Colman-Deveney is another strong example of what Elevate can make possible. As a graduate who took part in our 2025 programme, he knows first-hand the impact Elevate can have. He will now help lead this work going forward and has also joined our advisory board.
